Quiet Gardens Of Celadon

After leaving behind the sleepy little hamlet of  Lavender Town, Celadon City is quite the overwhelming spectacle. While Saffron City may have the tallest buildings in the land, Celadon is known throughout Kanto as a center of commerce. It boasts the largest population in Kanto, making it the most bustling city you'll find. The streets are packed with people coming and going about their daily lives. Aside from a world-renown shopping center, the city also boasts all forms of entertainment. Neon signs lit up the evening sky broadcasting all forms of attractions in Celadon City.  As tempting as it was to check out some of the local nightlife, I was here on a mission. My first morning in Celadon found me standing face to face with the Celadon City Gym. I had read in a brochure that only local females were allowed to join the gym as members which  made it a bit intimidating for shy male trainers like myself. I took a deep breath and walked inside. It was humid and balmy,

Castle Of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse (Genesis/Mega Drive)

Developer: Sega | Release Date: 1991 (1990 NA) | Systems: Mega Drive, Master System, Game Gear And the Super Adventures award for 'Ugliest Title Screen of 2019' goes to... that picture up there. Sorry Keio Flying Squadron 2 , your title screen may be pretty ugly, but you've been outdone by this indistinct grey mess. This week I'm playing Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse , known in Japan as I Love Mickey Mouse: Fushigi no Oshiro Daibōken . Me, I'm indifferent to Mickey Mouse. I never watched his cartoons as a kid and I didn't play his games, so he's always been roughly on the level of Ronald McDonald in my mind. But as far as Disney logo symbols go, he's second only to the Sleeping Beauty Castle! Castle of Illusion is the first game in the Illusion series, which is pretty much four games and a remake, and I've never played any of them! Well okay, I've probably put a couple of them on for five minutes each, but I've got no nostalgia

Ice Troll

First base coat of Turqouise And a really bad photo Skin getting there - I think I only did one or two more highlights Skin done. Work on the boulder, the teeth and claws Also some work on the loincloth.    This is a Reaper Bones mini, like many of the others I have been painting lately. I like the Bones line because I think you get a good mini at a really nice price, especially for the larger guys like this troll. He's almost finished, I hope to share a photo of him in a few days.

5 GAMES FOR DECEMBER - STAR WARS!

So, I finally got round to seeing Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker last night and thoroughly enjoyed it. Despite the naysayers, it remains a cinematic tour de force so what better way to celebrate than a trove of classic Star Wars games. The short-lived sub-division of Lucas Learning gave us some obscure titles. Learn about physics and momentum in the Star Wars: Anakin's Speedway (1999). Then learn the same thing but with robots in the far superior action-puzzler Star Wars: DroidWorks (1998). Test your biology skills in the Sim-Life a-like strategy game Star Wars: Episode I - The Gungan Frontier (1999). Want a little less learning? Why not try the official tie-in to Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace (1999)? Lastly, travel back to a time before the special editions and get your very first look at them in Star Wars: Making Magic (1996)! Enjoy! And I'll see you in the new year! Read more »

The Ultimate Megadungeon

I feel like I fought long and hard for this review... Battled my inner demons, smoked a peace-pipe with that old serpent until we were both baked into a fever-dream cake with black rainbow frosting, risked my stack by going all-in against a lavender mo-hawked skeever who I knew was bluffing, and so forth! Endzeitgeist's Cha'alt review! I knew it wouldn't be easy, that he'd make me pay dearly for every bit of laziness or self-indulgence, every decision carefully considered and weighed as if standing before an exotic gold idol with a pouch full of sand, every creative choice mercilessly judged. And yet, I came out unscathed... relatively speaking.  I just re-read the damn thing and I'm exhausted.  I don't have the time, energy, or even the inclination to refute his claims, except to say that I really wanted an all-caps GONZO fun-house megadungeon.  If blasters and sleep spells were commonplace, then really weird stuff would have to be way over-the-top. Also, for a

Trollblood Hooch Hauler Model Review

The Hooch Hauler.  Personally for me this is a tale of woe and triumph. I was incredibly excited by the CID rules, and when I saw the rules stayed as is and we saw the final render I was ready to buy this model day 1. Then the price hit and while I wasn't expecting to pay so much, I did because I love Trolls and the rules seem like they have a lot of synergy and makes a neat package that slots into almost any caster in the faction. Luckily I had just about the cost of the Hauler left over from selling some of my old GW models and while I expected that to go further in financing new hobby purchases, I took the plunge day 1. And then the agonizing wait began. Then finally it arrived....and sat in my house for two weeks in its box.  Basically work was pushing me into a lot of overtime and we had a lot going on with the family that by the time I got my daughters in bed at night (the only time I can dedicate to actually building a model), I was so exhausted that I didn't have the wi

Brave Browser the Best privacy-focused Browser of 2019

Out of all the privacy-focused products and apps available on the market, Brave has been voted the best. Other winners of Product Hunt's Golden Kitty awards showed that there was a huge interest in privacy-enhancing products and apps such as chats, maps, and other collaboration tools. An extremely productive year for Brave Last year has been a pivotal one for the crypto industry, but few companies managed to see the kind of success Brave did. Almost every day of the year has been packed witch action, as the company managed to officially launch its browser, get its Basic Attention Token out, and onboard hundreds of thousands of verified publishers on its rewards platform. Luckily, the effort Brave has been putting into its product hasn't gone unnoticed. The company's revolutionary browser has been voted the best privacy-focused product of 2019, for which it received a Golden Kitty award. The awards, hosted by Product Hunt, were given to the most popular products across 23
