GSP Sobre Khabib Nurmagomedov: “Tiene Un Aura De Invencibilidad. Eso Quiere Decir Que Si Lo Logro, Seré El Primero En Hacerlo”

Durante un tiempo se dijo que la leyenda de las MMA y ex-campeón de dos divisiones del UFC, Georges St-Pierre, estaba interesado en salir del retiro para medirse con el actual campeón lineal de peso ligero del UFC, Khabib Nurmagomedov. Sin embargo, esta pelea no fue posible debido a que las negociaciones entre GSP y el UFC no salieron bien.

Pese a todo, St-Pierre recientemente entregó algunas declaraciones en el podcast MMA TRUFAN, en donde admitió que Khabib es un peleador que despierta su interés, y teniendo en cuenta sus palabras, parece que GSP aún no descarta el potencial encuentro con Khabib (vía MMA News):

Georges St-Pierre: "Khabib me resultó muy interesante, porque un peleador no piensa como una persona normal".

"Un peleador siempre quiere enfrentar a un sujeto que parece invencible, un sujeto que luce como un peleador perfecto, que es invencible. Él tiene un aura de invencibilidad. Eso quiere decir que si lo logro, seré el primero en hacerlo. No es una cuestión de dinero. Yeah, el dinero está ahí, pero no es una cuestión de dinero en primer lugar. Es cuestión de gloria, de realización personal, de hacerlo de una manera en que estarás en la historia para siempre, para mí mismo".

"A fighter always wants to fight a guy who seems invincible, a guy who seems like the perfect fighter, who is unbeatable," St-Pierre added. "He has an aura of invincibility. So, that means if I do it I'll be the first to have ever done it. It's not a question of money. Yeah, the money is there but it's not a question of money first. It's a question of glory, of self-accomplishment, of making it in a way that you'll be in history forever, for myself."
